I’m Johnelle Hosking, a professional public speaker based in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty. As an experienced MC and event coordinator with a background in Radio, attending weddings made me happy and a little disappointed…Seeing the quality of some celebrants and MC’s made me think ‘I can do this better myself’. In 2023, after close friends asked me to officiate their wedding I put my money where my mouth is, and registered as an Independent Marriage Celebrant in New Zealand. I Instantly fell in love with the role, and made it my mission to marry as many couples as I could.

That’s where I Do Ceremonies was born.

I love being a celebrant because I get to utalise all of my skills in presenting, public speaking, organisation, planning, and more. And of course, I love getting to know each couple, their love story, their dreams for their wedding day and doing my best to bring that vision to life.

Now taking bookings for celebrant services, reception MCing and on the day coordination for the 2025/2026 season and beyond.
